Megan Rilat
About me…
My name is Megan Rilat. I attended Herron School of Art in Indianapolis in the early 1990’s. While in art school I began my styIe of landscapes. The greatest influence are the modern painters of the 1980’s and the large paintings artists of that time painted. I love creating paintings that command the attention of the room. Making large, colorful paintings gives me the therapy I need after serving 20 years in the Army. I love other’s interpretation of my work. I believe it is important to allow others to find their own meaning of my work. I am also a third generation artist. My grandfather and mother painted realism. I am featuring them on my website and their paintings are for sale.
